It's worth noting that the recommended starter deck for Roland assumes that you are playing 2p with Wendy. If you are playing solo with Roland you should be taking all the skill cards including (and especially) Overpower and Unexpected Courage in place of cards that are not very good for Roland - Mind over Matter, both Tomes, and Research Librarian. Personally I would probably also drop Hyperawareness and Physical Training to make room for 2x Perception as well. Roland is not cheap to play out of the core box and can't spend his resources on skill tests.
