TEACHER DECK?

The “Teacher Decks” are meant to provide an easy to explain decklist for an experienced player, with a full collection(up to the Edge of the Earth release), to give to a new player to show teach the game with.

Note that these decks aren’t super optimized or efficient like many of the decklists around here. That’s because it would defeat the point of these teacher decks. I’m just giving a solid platform to learn the game with.

It can be hard enough to learn the ins and outs of this game, lets not make it harder on ourselves by getting ahead of ourselves shall we?

These will generally include an overview of the deck, what it should be teaching, and some suggestions and thoughts on upgrades for the deck.

OVERVIEW

Skids is a fighter who is always ready to bolt if he needs to. Unlike most of the other enemy specialists of the Teacher deck series, Skids isn’t locked into mortal combat with every enemy he meets.

In fact, this deck utilizes his ability to evade to set up his kills. Delilah O’Rourk, Sneak attack, and .25 Automatic are all effective with evading, and let him get around his lower fight (relative to other fighters).

This deck teaches a lesson about picking your battles and choosing how to deal with your enemies: “Do I actually need to invest in killing this enemy? And if so, does it need to happen NOW?” Remember that evasion disables the retaliate keyword.

UPGRADE

Start by upgrading the .25 automatic(2), Delilah(3), Charisma(3), Lockpicks(1), Sweeping kick(1), and then Easy Mark(1). Make sure to keep Lonnie and the trench coat.

Pickpocketing(2) can help keep the deck flowing, generating cards and resources for setting up your kills.

“I’ve had worse” is a good follow up, to generate resources and protect your sanity. Liquid Courage(1) is valuable horror healing here as well, if Lonnie somehow doesn’t cut it.

Hot streak(2/4) will let you use his ability and Delilah more frequently in those times you need to handle a problem immediately.
