Let Girish tank the damage, heal him with bandages, earn On the Mend, exhaust him for his +2 bonus, and heal his assigned horror when you succeed the test.

Well Maintained is incredibly strong in this deck. Bandages and Schoffner's Catalogue are items that both discard when their starting resources are 0, so it triggers Well Maintained to recur the items back to your hand for reuse.

Card draw and tutoring cards:

Allows you to find cards that you need. However, you'll find that this deck does not need to rely on any single combo piece to be successful, and each card played just builds into the engine.

Conclusion:

Upgraded Runic Axe allows you to deal with most enemies. Seeker cards allow you to investigate consistently. Can flex without sacrificing any effectiveness in fighting or clueving. Surgical Kit to heal assets and allies and deal with your weakness Wounded Bystander. Very strong, very powerful.
