A simple decklist using the often underused inscription of the elders upgrade for the Runic axe. The idea is to rush Scriptweaver and Saga (A unique build I know) while fishing for refine to get the Inscription of the elders, hopefully in the first scenario, to save on experience. fieldwork to get +2 with inscription of the hunt to help with shroud values
Questions: Is this deck even realistic with this low fight score?
This feels like a basic Roland deck with some new toys. Any ideas to make this more unique and fun?
stick to the plan for e caches and on the trails or no?
to many redundancies in the wrong places?
Thanks!
Hey, Phillip! I like the idea. Was tinkering with Roland just yesterday, but I ended up going for [Custom Modifications], as I don't like giving up on the investigators' special assets.
That said, I assume you're playing at 3-4 players to warrant as much cluegetting redundancy. Still, I think you should go for something that I'm biased towards, I'll admit that, because it was the first deck to carry me through a hard campaign: a "Roland and friends" type of deck abusing Charisma with the high soak and "enter play" effects of yellow allies to testlessly discover even more clues, draw cards, heal etc. etc. (Oh , not to mention that you can always put their souls in a cup and feel like Mark Harrigan himself [Protect the Anirniq]).
Also, cards like Working a Hunch end up being more reliable than Evidence!, and they even share the same trait and icons, so an easy swap. Oh, something else I just remembered, may sound rather basic, but with that low curve, even with not that many assets, I'd still swap out an E Cache for an Ever Vigilant once you get the Stick to the Plan.
Someone might do the mAtH$ on that, but no number shall keep me away from the warm and fuzzy way a turn-1 Ever Vigilant makes me feel inside :)
Last but not least: please tell me how's it going with the Fieldwork + Elders procs once you get to a couple more scenarios, nothing makes me happier than free clues.
