My current 4 player Path to Carcosa group consists of Norman, Sefina and Zoey. As of this writing, the group has The Unspeakable Oath as their next scenario.

After building their decks, I looked at the leftovers, and I realized something, Lola has access to every encounter card cancel in the game (Ward of Protection, Forewarned, Test of Will. Then other stuff like On the Hunt, Disc of Itzanna, Maleson, Alyssa to a lesser extent.) So I decided to give myself this challenge.

At lvl 0, this deck doesn't have a lot going for it, so the majority of the work is done by the rest of my group. Sefina already claimed the Ward of Protections, so my plan is to adaptable them in once she upgrades to lvl 2 wards. In its place, I had Guidance as their placeholders, since I figured Lola wasn't gonna get much done on her own.

Until then, Lola just picks up what she can, and does the boring work like parleys.

My choice of Guardian was with the plan of picking up Ambush and Mano a Mano, especially for Echos of the Past. Leadership at lvl 0 seemed like ok filler, since I'm with 2 other mystics, but ultimately didn't come up. Trench Knife never came up, and I used adaptable to now introduce Survival Knife.

My choice of Mystic, obviously ward of protection, but also use Alyssa to try to control Lola's signature weakness in addition to the bonus intellect, and scrying to reorder the encounter deck.

My choice of Seeker, will eventually take Disc of Itzanna. I also opted to pick up lvl 2 Shortcuts.

And finally, Survivor, which is my Lola's main faction to make up for the lack of being able to do much else. Fight or Flight has especially been helpful escaping the Ward Theater and Dumaine Mansion (our campaign team name is now known as "Run Lola Run.")

Hiding Spot has been useful in running through the courtyard in The Last King, and for Echos of the Past, being able to run past a cultist in the hallways.

As for Lantern, a 1 dmg that I don't have to test for is ok.

For Survivor upgrades, I am going for Will to Survive and Test of Will. I may pick up Newpaper(2) for The Pallid Mask. I may test out using Snare and Lure for A Phantom of Truth.

I have also taken Charon's Obol and 2 Key of Ys.

Planning for the long term is tricky, given Lola's restrictive deck requirements. I could potentially exchange either Guardian or Mystic for Seeker to fit in Disc of Itzannas, Forwarned and Maleson.

What made you go for On The Hunt? Seems sort of counter-productive when you don't have many ways to fight

Basically the plan was my Lola sticks to Zoey as a sidekick. Also to combo with Ambush, Snare Trap or even Hiding Spot. For real silliness, combo with Disc of Itzanna, though that would require a faction switch.

Also my current upgraded deck has Lantern and Mano A Mano to make up for the lack of combat stats. Not very efficient, but I tend to play the game with my role as, I take care of the trivial stuff no one wants to waste their big stuff on.

Could you create the final version of this deck and link it somewhere?

Sorry about double post, but comments cant be edited.

I also like the idea of mythos control decks, so i've created decks for 5 characters that can include several counter spells in their deck. You can find them in my profil or if you use the deck search function with "mythos duelist" keywords.

Sure. I'll upload my current deck going into Unspeakble Oath. I'm still on the fence where to go from there, either going more seeker for Itzanna Discs and Forewarned, or more Survivor tricks.
