The main idea of this deck is to use the ridiculous interaction of Daredevil to flop most or all of your deck into the discard to open up a shopping mall of recursion.
Once your discard is stocked, you get access to A Glimmer of Hope, Improvised Weapon, Winging It, as well as whatever you can recur with Resourceful or Scrounge for Supplies.
You can choose approximately how many cards you would like to put into your discard. Nimble only works on tests, and Opportunist only works on your skill tests. Depending on when you play Daredevil, you can choose 0, 1, or 2 eligible targets in your deck before you stop discarding.
Cast Adrift hurts far less when you control when it comes up. It isn't hard to trigger two or more discards during the investigator, enemy, and upkeep phases so your cards aren't zeroed out.
With a few XP, the interactions get even more bizarre. FAQ 1.13 states "A single card cannot be shuffled into an empty player deck or encounter deck via card effect". This normally prevents restocking your empty deck with Improvised Weapon or Winging It. But... instead of a single card, what if you reshuffled two Persistence to setup your deck, which can then get further stocked with Improvised Weapons and Winging It! You can even commit Persistence in the same test you use Daredevil.
Alternately, you can just use Improvised Weapon or Winging It by itself several times with an empty deck, since they won't reshuffle themselves in.
It doesn't take many XP for the power of this recursion to get out of hand. Resourceful, Scavenging and Shrine of the Moirai let you get what you want with low effort. With these, you can dig out key cards and not even have to bother with using Persistence to prevent a reshuffle.
I've played one scenario so far, and I was impressed with Lawrence Carlisle and Artistic Inspiration, less so with Fortuitous Discovery. I never drew Dark Horse, so I'm not sure how it would have done with its Embezzled Treasure enabler.
