First try for a deck with him :)

dark horse is cool for him, since every turn he gets 4 resources on his family inheritance which can be used to spent to play cards.

don't know how this plays. so any suggestions on changes let me know :)

While I really like the idea, I don't know if this works. I am pretty sure that Money Talks, Well Connected, and Cunning do nothing if you try and use Dark Horse. The action on Family Inheritance specifically says it moves the money to the money pool. based off that distinction, I don't think in actually counts. If it does, then Dark Horse wouldn't work since you actually do have money.

Trying to work with Dark horse and Preston makes me think of trying to focus on anything that provides a static bump to your stats. Unfortunately, the two cards that would do that the best are Dario and Lola, both of whom what you to have money.

Sadly, I don't think Dark Horse really works.

I think Dark Horse Preston can work, and while I haven't tried playing Preston yet, I've seen a few discord comments from people having success with it. You just have to entirely cut the cards that care about the money you have if you're going with dark horse (though you could use adaptable to become money Preston after some upgrades).

While static buffs are nice, I don't think they're necessary, because the entire point of Dark Horse Preston is to be spending your 5 resources down every turn. You just need the means to do that -- hard knocks and dig deep before permanents, probably.

Really I think its biggest weakness is that you can't spend from family inheritance in the mythos phase, so you're likely to just fail a lot of tests going with an empty resource pool. One upside, though, is that forgoing resources is one of the only ways to really make Preston able to fight at all at level 0 (with fire axe).
