This deck was designed to take advantage of Lola's unique ability to gather clues without testing. There are definitely sub-optimal choices here with the understanding that your first EXP will be to get Charisma.

Delve to Deep and No Stone Unturned aren't exactly optimal for completing investigations but Delve to Deep is too good not to cram it in when I can and No Stone Unturned helps finding combo pieces.

Speaking of Combos the big one this abuses is: Art Student + Calling in Favors and A Chance Encounter. You Play Art Student, pick it up with Calling in Favors to hopefully find another before replaying the Art Student, discarding the one on the field before playing a Chance Encounter to put it back on the field. 3 Clues for 4 resources and not a single pull from the deck.

If that seems a little too Imaginary Christmas Land to pull off, that is why there are so many other Allies to ensure you always hit something useful.

*Note: I find this combo gets worse the more players there are but better the higher the difficulty goes

If you think you need more combat my recommendation is to grab Baseball Bat. The +2 to Strength is far more useful to Lola then the +1 Damage with her mediocre Strength of 3.

Alternatively, you can try to add in Scavenging to recur some of the items and use Knife but having to constantly switch to Survivor might be a pain but that is your call.

As for Upgrades, Adaptable and Charisma are top priorities. Lola can really utilize Adaptable better then any other investigator and can therefore allow you to tailor your deck to match the scenario. Charisma allows you to keep all your Allies in play so that can't be a bad thing.

After that, Higher Education is, as always, amazing. Although I find that I'm often playing HigherEducation.dec instead of using all of Lola's abilities. This isn't bad persay as that just shows you how much Higher Education dwarfs all other cards but I can imagine a person hating this type of thing.

After that it is really up to you. Use your Exp to grab Scraper for some extra fight if you need it or maybe go in deeper with the Allies and grab The Red Gloved Man. The world is a stage so go out there and give it all you got.

Now that oyu mention it, i think creating a lola deck based on permenant talents could work pretty well, as they are immune to her weakness.

You need to be red when play the chance encounter, and switch to yellow immediately or you cannot trigger the art student.

The problem would be, do you have a window to switch your faction after playing chance encounter and before art student in play?

@say200426that's incorrect, you don't need to switch classes for A Chance Encounter.

Reason is the wording of lolas ability and some cards: "Play" (lolas ability) and "put into play" (wording on A Chance Encounter) are two different things.

For comparison see these cards:

See page 22 for player windows. Generally speaking, there's no player windows during any players turn, unless a skill test is involved. So you can't change colors when using any card, that allows you to play another.

I think he is right, you don't need to be yellow to play Art Student off of A Chance Encounter but to resolve Art Student's reaction ability you have to be in yellow. I didnt think about that. Simply speaking that just means you have to replace that card with something else like Scavenging or what not.

Good on you to notice that flaw. Lola is funny that way. It's probably still.worth doing and maybe worth keeping if you intend to run The Red Gloved Man

Looks like a great deck. Do you have any ideas as to which investigators would be best to pair with this build? I was thinking either Mark or Roland to handle combat. Thanks!

Interesting. I am designing a “no chaos bag” or at least, “less chaos” deck. This helps. I have a suggestion. Since some of your cards have triggers based on tests... Will to Survive may fit. Luca starts to give u that extra turn, fast switch to survivor and make 4 tests with no draws.

The new announced rogue card borrowed time also works well with Will to Survive.

@Tiltowait see my deck „test-less“ if you need more inspiration.

That ally combo is even more awesome when you let the Student go first (e.g., encounter card, enemy) then pick it up with ACE and then play CiF on the encountered one, moving it to your hand thus preserving it for another play.
