Super skill heavy George Barnaby.
Between Dark Horse and Cornered your mythos phase stats are essentially 5/7/6/6 and that's before committing any of the 7 billion included skills.
The vibe is to identify the critical thing you need to do this turn (Fight, Investigate, Evade) and commit the appropriate survivor card (Brute Force, Sharp Vision, Expeditious Retreat either from your hand, your boat, or your discard via Gift of Nodens then pump the appropriate stat via Cornered or any of the several ? skills (Inquiring Mind, Last Chance, Quick Thinking to over succeed and get the max benefit.
As this is a Dark Horse deck, nearly everything is free / 0 cost. The exceptions being Gift of Nodens and Cornered which cost 2 res each. Because of this, there is a single copy of Take Heart to accommodate. If you're in a pinch, you can release your dark horse bonus to draw the two resources needed.
For survival you have Cherished Keepsake for horror soak and Bizarre Diagnosis for health healing.
Also, True Awakening for healing either, grabbing a clue or drawing 2 cards.
Speaking of card draw, while George can draw a lot himself we also have a fair number for draw options: True Awakening, At a Crossroads, Eureka!, Last Chance, Unrelenting.
The one copy of Resourceful is there just in case you were forced to discard any of your assets and want them back immediately.
Side deck includes Fire Axe, and Magnifying Glass in case you prefer to lean one direction or the other.
I'd recommend upgrading core skills first, hold off on Last Chance until you are sure you need the card draw. Do a single Gift of Nodens and Cornered. When you feel comfortable, Dark Horse, then the rest as xp is available.
