Use Act of Desperation to discard Remington Model 1858, and then use William Yorick's ability to retrieve it back. This gives you 4 damages by 1 card in 1 action, resource free, plus you reload your remington.
When you upgrade your cards, remember the first thing is to increase your strength as William Yorick starts with a 4. Jessica Hyde is a great choice as she also soaks plenty of damages. You might also want to take Beat Cop or Grete Wagner, depends on whether you want to focus on fight only or clues. Jacob Morrison is another good choice if you go with the blessing cards like I do.
Remington Model 1858 is perhaps not a strong weapon, but a unique one with "deathrattle". Let me know if you have any other ideas!
