A Great deck, at least for Dunwich in a trio with Finn and Yorick.
Spend the first 6 XP on Madame LabrancheGuiding Spirit and Newspaper.
Then 6 XP on Occult Lexicon and "Look what I found!"Alter Fate. This card saved me from defeat and/or trauma 3 times and was always useful even when it wasn't single-handedly carrying the game.
The next 18 XP on Grisly Totem, Rabbit's Foot and Relic Hunter.
Hard mull for Spirits and Newspapers. If newspapers aren't useful then go for scavenging as well. Grisly totem is as important for your own skills as it is to buff the other guys. Do deploy some early assets but do not, ever, waste Duke uptime. Occult turned out to be a bad fit.
Stunning Blow was a great holdout, if it wasnt useful it was fine Duke fuel, otherwise I could chuck it at a helpful William Yorick when he was digging Pete out of trouble, it was less useful at keeping Ashcan alive then Keeping Yorick safe.
Investigating at 5 or better (sometimes +9 without spending any cards or resources). Once Newspaper(2) and Alter fate are in the deck go for the first part of Guardians of the Abyss.
This deck made Guardians of the Abyss look like child's play and won me Blood on the altar before Agenda 1 advanced (with some help from luck and Finn)!
