Speedy Evil Norman has three tricks up his sleeve.
First, he is speedy. He abuses his Research Librarians to find his Astronomical Atlas, which allows him to bank up skill cards from the top of his deck and go through his deck faster. Also, six of his fast cards (Anatomical Diagrams, Mind over Matter, Shortcut) can be played freely or very cheaply from the top of his deck. Norman can either enjoy the benefits of these fast cards, or simply use them inefficiently to cycle through his deck to look for the card he really wants...
Which is a Sled Dog. Normally a pack of four dogs requires 12 resources, 4 card draws, and 4 actions, which is not worth it. But for Norman the pack might require as little as 8 resources and 4 actions. Bwahahaha.
Finally, he is evil. With Blood Pact and Moonlight Ritual he can reliably deal with emergencies, and minimize the chance his profane methods accidentally doom the world.

Apr 02, 2023No, I don't have Innsmouth yet. Quantum Flux is included because no other 0-level Mystic card seemed better. It might be useful if something in the early game made you discard a Sled Dog, since that could otherwise make you very sad. At worst, you can often tuck it under Astronomical Atlas to help with any skill test once or twice. |
Fun deck idea! Using Norman's ability to find and play all your dogs is neat.
Do you have access to cards from The Innsmouth Conspiracy? Promise of Power and Deep Knowledge would both be quite good in this deck. I'm also not sold on Quantum Flux—what's its purpose here?
