Skids will need to be able to do it all if he's going to go all the way solo. So, that's the idea that I am trying to channel with this deck. Looking for an optimal opening hand of Lone Wolf, Machete, Think on Your Feet, Unexpected Courage and Emergency Cache it is important to know how and what to mulligan. Once committed, begin building resources ASAP, draw hard until you uncover Backstab, Sneak Attack and Vicious Blow for combat heavy scenarios or Elusive and Flashlight if you just need to find clues and get going. Then, head towards the best resolution possible before you go crazy! Although better than Roland, Skids can't handle too many sanity hits and certainly doesn't need any mental trauma, so, keeping this in mind (pun? yes) proceed accordingly.

I plan to take this build through Core and Dunwich Cycle as far as I can solo and am going to try the "carry over" option from one campaign to the next (see core set campaign manual) and see how that fairs.

If you are able to try this deck out, or a similar build, or just have comments. Please, let me know!

Looks good but a few comments:

  • a solo rogue build without 2x Leo de Luca almost gives me pains. He's one of the best cards in the game especially for solo. Almost always takes up 2 splash slots out of the dunwich investigators cause he's that good.
  • extra ammo just for a single .45 seems a little silly. Why not pack an extra .45 and not fear draw order issues? Rogues of all classes can def afford it
  • elder sign amulet seems overcosted when you have access to If it Bleeds. Plus, IIB is fast and cheaper (though max you'll get out of it is two horror healed)
  • backstab, sneak attack and thinking on your feet all seem redundant with Skids, who has access to some of the best weapons in the game with his Guardian subclass. These are the cards you're going to want to ditch most of all for the above changes, in addition you're def gonna want to pack an overpower and at least one manual dexterity (those skill cards are just too good)
  • deck might be slightly too hard in dealing with high shroud locations until it has more money, prioritize getting Hot Streak in there so you can afford sick pumps on streetwise.
  • useless note: psychosis is possibly the best weakness to have on skids, nice pull haha

These are great comments. Thank you for taking the time to do this. I agree with the Leo add. Was trying a deck without him, but I think you are just right, he's too good to leave out entirely so I've taken away the extra ammo and added him. I will consider the IIB vs ESAmulet. I've been toying with dropping Backstab and/or Sneak Attack already because I never seem to want to spent the resources at the same time as the cards are potentially useful. However, I want to keep in mind that I would like to use this deck through the entire Core campaign and also carry it over to Dunwich Campaign so I feel as if completely dropping both at this point might be premature. Lastly, I considered Hot Streak strongly and will probably add it in the next upgrade. Also, yes, I picked Psychosis randomly however, truly, only from the Core Set weaknesses. Thanks Again for your input! I think it will really improve this deck and my game.

No problem! I really enjoy skids and he becomes insanely powerful once he has access to Hot Streak (those extra actions are no joke!)

Good luck out there Investigator
