After struggling with Midnight Mask and implementing some advice, this deck has turned around. Realizing that my Wendy isn't much of a fighter, I focused much heavier on clue gathering and action economy. I still struggled with Midnight Mask, but the deck didn't feel nearly as clunky. That scenario is straight tuff if you can't reliably kill the enemies. So I decided to move onto Dunwich and see if this was viable on a campaign that was less combat focused, as I had previously read.

Wow! Perhaps i'm taking the 'easier' paths, but I feel like I've been doing really well. I have done a good job of clue gathering, managing the agenda deck, and only engaging with enemies as needed. I've completed 3x scenario with this as the starting point and I feel like they have been very successful. I haven't killed any of the big bads and still manage a decent amount of XP based on what is available in the scenarios.

So how does it work?

Lone Wolf is just OP. The ability to generate 2x resources at the upkeep phase is silly. I'm never in worry of money. I was worried about dropping Emergency Cache but have not struggled with money as soon as Lone Wolfcomes into play. I rarely have to spend an action to generate money, so this really helps with action economy. I'd love an XP upgrade version that would allow for an extra card pull instead. That would make Wendy's ability no longer struggle with card management.

Leo De Luca is just plain good and should be an auto include for any solo deck that can take him. I rely so heavily on the 4th action, I'm afraid of what will happen when I can no longer take him. Him paired with Quick Thinking allows for a whopping 5 actions in one turn. That's crazy. I like Quick Thinking so much more than Double or Nothing. I still get the ? boost and feel a lot more comfortable committing to the marginal test. For Wendy, I could only every see me using Double or Nothing for clue gathering. Her attack value is just too low for the test to be doubled. And the enemies that she could actually hit, have to low of HP for it to be worth the risk. I can use Quick Thinking for clues, for evades, for combat if needed. It is just a more versatile card.

Newspaper has been good. Getting that first clue is now much easier. I need to find a way to make the ones after more manageable. Elusive has saved my butt at least once, so that's staying.

Upgrades so far have been upgrading Leo De Luca, adding Charisma for my new buddies. I'm think about swapping Manual Dexterity for Peter Sylvestre. I'm losing 1x boost one time, for a permanent boost and a soak if needed. I'd also like to get Aquinnah in there, but I've not had the XP to get both copies in. I'm still not sure, what to drop to get her in.

Overall, this deck feels a lot more focused than the previous version.

Thank you!
