Disclaimer: I accidentally included the wrong version of the deck, and I have no idea why even in that wrong version there are two copies of story allies! I cannot delete this list now because there is a comment. The level 0 version had no story allies, 2x sneak attacks, 2x elusive. It had no Streetwise, Cat Burglar, or Hot Streak.
The aim of this deck is not an innovative one: find out how to make it so that Jenny can throw money at all of her problems and win.
This is my second ever deck, so I would welcome feedback!
Explanations for my choices:
.41 Derringer Gives you a +2 boost for a total of 5 combat. Not bad in most cases, and a chance for 2 damage if you commit some icons to the test.
.45 Automatic Rounding her three guns out to four just to increase the chance that at least she sees one of them. Guaranteed 2 damage if the test succeeds.
Flashlight they help you see things, which is important in a dark game like this one.
Dr. Milan Christopher He, along with flashlights, helps you see things even better. Whats more, he gives you money just for allowing him to help you! Jenny likes money.
Leo De Luca After soloing with Ashcan and realizing how much his action compression Duke-vestigate helped me win, I wanted to find ways to build as much action efficiency as possible. A guaranteed fourth action with Leo is expensive, which means Jenny can't resist.
Hard Knocks Because her combat suffers without again, this plus the two Physical Trainings gave her a higher chance of being able to pay her way through fights.
Lone Wolf Money. Money. Money. Three resources to start off each new phase gives you buying options. Stat boosts, expensive allies, etc.
Physical Training She needs a way to boost willpower and strength. This card helps. I find that the combat boost plus the weapons makes her fairly capable at handling bad guys. I wish I though of more ways to boost willpower, though, because if this card doesn't come up, your base of three might just drive you insane.
Backstab I was hesitant about this card at first, but after playing the deck I don't know why. With [Streetwise] (/card/02189) (my first upgrade), this almost guarantees you three damage if you've got the coin to spend boosting your agility. Throw in a double or nothing and some more coin, and you can drop 6HP bad guys in one action. Which I have done to great effect twice. The synergy requires some set up, though. Streetwise being permanent helps.
Sneak Attack Might help with crowd control sometimes. I wasn't totally sold on this card and will phase it out with upgrades. Taking two actions to do two damage isn't super efficient, but I can see how this would help you if you had no guns and no boosting power to fight something head on.
Double or Nothing I love this card. With your boosters, you can generally pay yourself into very high stats. Throw this down and get two clues, do 2, 4, 6 damage. You need the money to make it work, but when it works it works well.
Guts I'd include four if I could. She could use more brain protection.
Overpower Help get the 2 damage with the derringer or to boost your 3 to 5 when the guns haven't shown up.
Quick Thinking Action efficiency. Easy to win by two if you pay for it, meaning you effectively are paying 1 - 4 resources for an extra action, which since she gets 2 resources (3 with Lone Wolf) between phases makes that a good deal.
Unexpected Courage Flexible stat boost.
Upgrade path: -Streetwise first. The first scenario without it makes clue gathering tough. Get Milan or a flashlight on your first draw.
-For Dunwich (which I am playing) I then go for Charisma. The passive stat boosts on all the allies are so good. Since I want Leo de Luca in play, I want always to be able to boost a stat and give higher horror threshold by being able to include another ally. (I suffered a couple mental trauma because of horribly timed Search for Izzie's, making the horror shielding allies even more crucial).
-I like Cat Burglar after Charisma to help with movement and evasion and still only taking one of two slots.
-Then, I think I am saving up for Hot Streak. Because money makes Jenny's world go round.

Oct 21, 2020I don't know why it has the story assets at all. I am using an app that is tracking the deck, and I believe I did not include the level 0 version. |
Oct 21, 2020You're using ArkhamCards to manage the deck? I do too! But I've had it add an additional copy of Morgan or Armitage. That's odd. |
Oct 21, 2020I know. It is corrected on my app, but this decklist appears to be uneditable. I love the app for keeping track. Especially since I have a couple campaigns going at once and need to move a few cards back and forth. |
Oct 23, 2020Even with charisma, how could you possibly use so many allies? I would think 4 or 5 would be enough? |
Oct 23, 2020Yes. In my mind adding many allies was an easy way to boost stats, but since I could only ever use two at a time that meant I had dead cards in my hand. It was pointed out to me that they are severely decreasing my chances of getting cards I actually do need. When I play Jenny again, I will be keeping only 2-4 allies. Thanks for the advice! |
It isn't possible to have 2x Morgan or Armitage.
That being said, you have a lot of allies. Possibly too many.
