Sefina Rousseau paints herself a few friends.

MAKING FRIENDS

During setup, you'll hopefully draw at least 1 copy of Power Word. Store it under Sefina so that you can play The Painted World as a copy of it, potentially allowing you to take control of 6 enemies over the course of the game. Add in Thrice Spoken, and you can put Charlie Kane's ally swarms to shame.

FINDING FRIENDS

Drawn to the Flame and Kicking the Hornet's Nest help you find enemies to target with Power Word.
Easy Mark, Arcane Initiate, and Friends in Low Places help you find your combo pieces.

PAYING YOUR FRIENDS BACK

For your resource economy, Robes of Endless Night, Lone Wolf, and Kicking the Hornet's Nest should keep you flush.
For cards, Arcane Initiate and Friends in Low Places sift through your deck, Easy Mark brute-forces its way through.

ON YOUR OWN

Sixth Sense, Read the Signs, Drawn to the Flame, and Kicking the Hornet's Nest allow you to find clues for your friends.
Ethereal Form, Spectral Razor, and your natural (potentially boosted by Moxie) help if you run into any enemy you don't want to be your friend.

HAPPY LITTLE ACCIDENTS

Potential cards to add: Black Market, Under Surveillance (place it on a high shroud location, use "Go" to move one of your friends there to activate it).
Potential cards to cut: Astral Travel (extremely good in some scenarios, not that useful in others), Holy Rosary, Robes of Endless Night (depending on how good the rest of your economy and soak is).

Mar 24, 2023 Acedentprone · 369 Can you Haste with Power Word in the way you describe? I was under the impression you can't give the same command more than once per turn. So you can Thrice Spoken to have all of them "Betray" that's only one action and your only "Betray" use each round. You'll have to use other commands to trigger Haste. It is still 1-6 damage to an enemy depending on how many copies of Power Word/The Painted World you have in play and what their fight values are.

Mar 25, 2023 Pyxel · 19 unfortunately, the painted world is only a copy of the event while you are playing it. so you ultimately end up with a painted world attached to an enemy that doesn't have any effects on it anymore.
Mar 25, 2023 Acedentprone · 369 `@Pyxel` What is your source on that? The Painted World's rulings say it ceases being a copy when it leaves play, but doesn't say it ceases otherwise. Since you're attaching it to an enemy it stays in play.
