Luke Dreams of True Magic - Cluever

Ever since I played Dexter Drake with True Magick I loved the flexibility and was looking for a better way. I hope I found it!

The idea is simple: Search for True Magick with Research Librarian and Whitton Greene (who triggers every time you use Gate Box) and use your spells that you draw with Scroll of Prophecies.

Generate enough charges with Lost Arcana and Twila Katherine Price.

Generate additional actions with Spiritual Echo.

Stay alive with the usual mystic treachery defence and hiding behind the box - which you can recharge with Enraptured.

And one more speciality: put The Raven Quill on True Magick for +2 to all your spell test, no attack of opportunity and no slots. How often are you stuck with a Big Bad or several cultists at a location you would need to clear of clues? Now you can with ease, and just box away in the end.

Notes on progression and the high Xp cost: I hear you already: 46 XP? Maybe over 2 campaings, lol! 46 XP is a lot, still The Great Work, and 2 Arcane Researches gives you 3 extra Xp / Scenario, while Down the Rabbit Hole gives a total of about +4 Xp. And you don't need all upgrades for the deck to run smooth: 1 Lost Arcana, a 3 Xp The Raven Quill (Living Quill + Mystic Vane), no Spiritual Echos and basic spells & Whitton Greene 0 is already a strong setup for ~20 Xp (without discounts).

A progression suggestion: start with this desk. Get True Magick first! Upgrade The Raven Quill. Use Refine if you hit before you replace it. Then get one Lost Arcana. Meanwhile upgrade your spells and Enraptured for 0-1 Xp each scenario with (Down the Rabbit Hole and Arcane Research. Upgrading spells in steps (like Clairvoyance 0 -> Clairvoyance 3 -> Clairvoyance 5) can save Xp. From there if you want more spells, get Twila Katherine Price or another Lost Arcana. If you want more consistency, upgrade Whitton Greene. If you want more safety, upgrade the Enraptured.
