The Story so Far

Time and time again, mysterious disappearances and murders in the Excelsior Hotel remain unexplained. Like usual, the local police are unable to make any substantial progress on a case that is rumored to involve the supernatural.

Lately, Wendy Adams had been drawn to the air surrounding the Excelsior Hotel, though she never could understand why. She never had the opportunity to stay there as a dirty urchin, she had always been driven off. Being found Abandoned and Alone, she had been forcefully taken in by the local orphanage. She was already planning to escape until Roland Banks found her and adopted her. He claims of being a psychologist but Wendy had done some snooping and found that he is in fact an undercover agent--a spy or some sort investigating the hotel. And Roland needs to investigate the hotel as a family of three. Likewise, when both had met Zoey Samaras, secretly, Wendy nudged them along so that Zoey could become her mother. Like with what Wendy did Roland, Wendy went investigating, snooping around and almost exclaiming "Look what I found!" when she learns that Zoey is secretly an assassin getting orders to kill monsters.

Equally excited and terrified for her life, the day they enter the Excelsior Hotel draws near. Wendy must act normal despite learning her adopted parent's secrets and hope she survives the ordeal. Such is the life of blessed by Dumb Luck and other reality-bending protagonist powers in unlucky situations.
