Intro:
You are Kate Winthrop's Big Pharma liaison. The deck is designed to be played alongside an item-heavy Kate deck, which includes lots of Science assets - it potentially has 5 hand slots! You can acquire these assets for yourself, as well as help her play/pay for them using your free action.
Considerations/things to remember:
-
You can use your first few turns to generate resources with Burglary and Newspaper (without gaining clues). You can also help Kate play assets in the process.
-
With some additional XP, Dirty Deeds can help find Burglary and Stylish Coat can increase the money gain from 'investigating'.
-
You can help Kate to find her items with Friends in Low Places and Black Market.
-
Black Market and "You owe me one!" allow you to play some of Kate's items under your control, if desired.
-
Your dodging can put charges on Kate's Microscope, as well as your own (if you have one).
-
Failing some of your skill tests will trigger Kate's Empirical Hypothesis. Empirical Hypothesis can also help pay for items, once upgraded.
-
Kate can use money from Schoffner's Catalogue, if she's at the same location.
-
With Untimely Transaction, you can give your Backpacks to Kate.
Upgrades:
Nothing too prescriptive, but consider replacing Survivor skills with stuff that will help you succeed by 3 (for Empirical Hypothesis), instead of failing by 2. You may also want to take something better for your Accessory slot.
Consider also:
- Another Day, Another Dollar.
- Ace in the Hole.
- Contraband.
- Fake Credentials.
- Hot Streak for more money.
- Unscrupulous Loan.
- The Red Clock, Lucky Dice, other expensive stuff etc.
