Note: I'm fairly inexperienced in Arkham Horror so it may be that this deck doesn't work at all.

Focus on combat using Baseball Bat, Knife, Old Hunting Rifle, and Hatchet.

One problem with Baseball Bat: What if it breaks at an inconvinient time? That is what Bandolier and Improvised Weapon is for. Bandolier helps preparing for this event, by enabling a Knife or .18 Derringer sidearm to finish off the enemy so you can regain Baseball Bat. Improvised Weapon needs to be in the discard pile, which can then help to deal 2 damage to hopefully kill an enemy so you can regain Baseball Bat again.

.18 Derringer is meant to counter monsters that are strong against melee. This should be promtply replaced by Hatchet.

A secondary aspect of the deck is to use recurring Cherished Keepsake and Mysterious Raven to gather clues cheaply: Killing an enemy allows you to gather 1 clue for 1 resource without spending any actions. You take a horror, which is where Cherished Keepsake comes in. Note this only works, when you don't need to recur Baseball Bat. So it is very much a secondary strategy.

Schoffner's Catalogue is just a recurring Emergency Cache which can also be tutored with Backpack. Unlike Emergency Cache, it can only be used to pay for items. Considering most of the cards are items, and the ones that aren't mostly cost 1 and 2, this is shoudn't be a problem. Most resources will be used on getting Baseball Bat back in any case.

Apart from that, there are also a number of one-off allies meant to help in a variety of situations. Medical Student is mostly meant to help heal another investigator, while also providing some soak. Stray Cat is a situational card and belongs in the discard pile for the most part. Tetsuo Mori is just great soak and tutor. A Chance Encounter is meant to enable all of these cards, in case we need a murdering to return Baseball Bat. Note that for Tetsuo Mori to work with A Chance Encounter, you need an enemy to kill it in the enemy phase or duing an attack of opportunity.

Both Sparrow Mask and Wolf Mask are meant to replace Guts and Overpower, respectively. I prefer these, because they can also be tutored with Backpack. Sparrow Mask works great with Mysterious Raven and Wolf Mask works great on any fighter. Both work great with Track Shoes.
