My Mark Harrigan deck as he entered the Undimensioned and Unseen (together with -1 physical and -2 mental trauma). For this scenario, a second copy of the Elder Sign Amulet replaced a never used "Let me handle this!".
This deck is loosely based on the "Sophie Harrigan’s Guide to Playing the Soldier" deck.
Strong points (after Undimensioned & Unseen):
- Stick to the Plan was set up with Emergency Cache (1x this time, because all cards must be different), Prepared for the Worst and Shortcut, of which first two were useful.
- Emergency Aid was useful 100% of the time when drawn because of its speed (2 HP for a single action).
- Two copies of the Elder Sign Amulet provide so far enough mental coverage, but in this scenario Brother Xavier and Beat Cop also helped in this matter.
Weak points (after Undimensioned & Unseen):
- First Aid is still useless, despite need of healing as it requires 4 actions to reach its full potential and there was simply never enough time for that. Upgraded First Aid may work a lot better, but it costs 6 XP to upgrade the pair.
- "Let me handle this!" was pretty useless (except for icons) for the whole campaign so far. Already got rid of one copy, the other one will probably be the next removed card.
- Taunt can potentially save one action, but the draw rarely timed well. This time it was an option at one point, but eventually the card was spent on a skill check.
- Smoking Pipe has potential synergy with Mark Harrigan ability, and while before the scenario there was rarely chance to use it (mainly physical damage). This time it could be helpful, but I failed to draw it.
Upgrade ideas (after Undimensioned & Unseen):
- Elder Sign Amulet has second copy already in and it was worth it for this scenario.
- Ever Vigilant is cheap and when combined with existing Stick to the Plan should allow really quick setup in first or second round (after playing Emergency Cache from the Plan on the first turn). Forgot about it this time, but I'll definitely include it for the next encounter.
- Key of Ys as a natural upgrade to the Elder Sign Amulet.
- Bulletproof Vest to help soaking some of the damage, but allies generally fill this role.
- Emergency Cache or Emergency Cache - even a single copy (thanks to Stick to the Plan). Probably not worth it considering the other options.
- First Aid upgrade can turn this card from slow and terrible to awesome, with enough supplies and versatility to provide some healing for the rest of the team. Probably not worth it considering the other options.
- Reliable Machete may be quite a good weapon against more powerful monsters. Probably not worth it considering the other options.

In later game, all the resources go into replacing/playing extra allies, second Elder Sign Amulet and Emergency Aid, which is usually tight on resources, but manageable - you can consistently get 1/1 damage a turn, or 2/2 from time to time and slowly gather enough resources for replacements. In next scenario, Ever Vigilant will be attached to Stick to the Plan, ready to be played on 2nd turn (with Emergency Cache being played on the first), which means I'd be ready to go after spending just 4 actions total with up to 3 assets worth of up to 12 resources. |
Desk is consistent but ... costly as hell i ccant see how will you manage to pay for all of this ....
