Introduction

I recently started playing in a group of 3 people after years of playing exclusively 2, which opened up a whole new world of deckbuilding options and inspired me to explore potential group synergies. This group is composed of Vincent, Mark and Monterey:

★★★

Vincent Lee (19 xp)

Mark Harrigan (19 xp)

Monterey Jack (19 xp)

★★★

Concept

The same way that Carolyn and Agnes synergize for horror, Vincent and Mark synergize for damage. To be honnest, this team is mostly built around the Vincent & Mark synergy. Poor Monterey is just holding the candle.

Mark Harrigan

Use Mark's ability to gain +2 to any skill test. Immediately heal the damage with Vincent's Bandages, adding an On the Mend to Mark's hand. You can now gain +4 to any skill by using both On the Mend and Mark's ability on a single test. Repeat as much as you want because Vincent is never running out of bandages.

Otherwise this is a pretty straightforward Shotgun deck.

With the above mentioned synergy and other skill boost options such as Wolf Mask and reusable skill cards, Mark can get his to stupidly high numbers which makes Shotgun a natural choice to blast big enemies.

Smaller guns are for lesser enemies and reusable pineapples for groups.

Mark's Empty Vessel and Vincent's Microscope provide some pay-off for killing enemies.

Vincent Lee

With Cleaning Kit, Venturer, and Emergency Cache(3), you have a solid supply & ammo battery that can be used to recharge Vincent's Bandages, Mark's Shotgun and Monterey's Fingerprint Kit(4). Secondary targets are Vincent's Surgical Kit and Mark's Mk 1 Grenades.

Always stay close to Mark with Safeguard to heal him & provide ammo.

Microscope rewards you for staying close to your killing machine by providing the occasional clue burst.

Ancestral Knowledge and 12 skill cards are here to make up for the slow tempo & high setup cost of this team. Also, Sharp Vision, Brute Force and Resourceful are basically staples for any investigator that can use them.

Monterey Jack

Vincent Lee having mainly a support role, this team needs a second cluever to beat the mythos.

Use Lockpicks for single clue fishing and to trigger Lucky Cigarette Case & Empirical Hypothesis.

Use Fingerprint Kit(4) for clue burst.

Attach Fine Tuning to Lockpicks and Empirical Hypothesis for more uses of these cards.

Use Peer Review, Alternative Hypothesis and Trial and Error on Empirical Hypothesis to take advantage of Mark's self-damage ability and get up to 3 evidence per turn.

Provide support to your team in the form of resource generation (Bank Job, Empirical Hypothesis with Research Grant), card draw (Empirical Hypothesis) and supply or ammo generation (Contraband).

You said Mark is getting +4 on any skill by using his ability and On the Mend ? How is that possible when On the Mend can only me commited to Vincent skill tests and not to other investigators?

@Gustafo93 Vincent's ability is when he heals an investigator, that investigator adds an On the mend to his hand.

So when Vincent heals Mark, Mark gets an On the Mend in his hand that he can use for his own skill tests.

@Ramun Thank you for that, looks like I was not reading Vincent's ability properly. Anyways my friends and me are going to play these builds and try them out. Thanks.
