First shot at a Seeker / clue build for Marie. It does contain enough combat options so that you should be able to deal with enemies as well (either by killing them or getting away from them)

Early game you want to mulligan for as many and boosts as possible:

You should be able to get to 6-7 and fairly easily.

First priority is to upgrade Archaic Glyphs (Untranslated) into Archaic Glyphs (Prophecy Foretold) so that you have another easy Evade option. If you can't translate the glyphs in the first 2 scenarios of a campaign, it's probably better to just get rid of them and add some other spells to the deck instead (such as Suggestion).

You'll also want to grab Blood Pact so you can always activate Marie's bonus Spell action.

Use the Arcane Research XP to upgrade:

I experimented with a number of Marie builds recently. Personally I wouldn't build a seeker deck this way. It's a little too reliant on static boosts since there are no skills in the deck, and since there isn't any draw capability you can't rely on seeing them or being able to afford to play them. The Hawkeye/St Hubert's Key combo is really powerful when you get it all down, but I found that it could be too hit and miss and the amount of times I sat there with the key in my hand but unable to afford it made me a bit leery of it. In this setup as well you may find it difficult to keep it in play. With 2x Arcane Research + SHK on the board you're down to 4 sanity, which is risky if your plan is to rely on the double static boost from it.

On balance I prefer Alyssa Graham as the main ally for Marie. She has the permanent intellect boost which doesn't require doom in play, but can also add doom when required for the free spell action. She also lets you keep looking out for Baron Samedi and potentially get rid of him before he cripples you. Alyssa +Holy Rosary is still a nice set of static boosts, and it has the added bonus of making you all-but immune to horror.

I also like both Guts and Perception in the deck. They're going to be useful almost all the time and they mean that you get some much needed draw in your deck. I also played around with the Occult Lexicon card using a proxy. This is potentially really powerful as a card draw/resource/testless damage engine. Must admit that results were mixed though.

Finally, I'm not sold on Rite of Seeking in a Marie seeker deck. Her intellect is high enough to not need it for clue gathering, so all it really grants you is action compression. This comes at a cost though, 4 resources and an action to play it plus the risk that you may lose an action at some point when you use it. Best case scenario it's 2 actions that you don't need to spend, for a cost of 4 resources. Is this really worth it ?

Thanks for your insights. I tried to fit Guts and Perception but wasn't sure what to cut for them. I was also concerned about drawing into Baron Samedi from the provided card draw.

I guess Alyssa Graham would help, I didn't think about using her.

Baron Samedi is a horrible weakness, no doubt about it. He's not so bad that you should restrict your card draw options though. Once you get Charisma then he becomes a situationally bad but manageable weakness. It takes 2 full turns to get rid of him (because you can add doom in the upkeep phase after the 2nd turn), so all you need is a moderately high doom threshold and friends who can take on any enemies in the meantime. Keeping Deny Existence in hand also works.

In fact, there's a case to be made for running Mr Rook and purposely seeking him out. You'd need Charisma to do this of course so couldn't do it scenario 1, but it might be a good play. Get him out early before a lot of enemies hit the board, deal with him before the doom threshold creeps up too high and then breathe easy for the rest of the game. I'd need to test it a bit before I could recommend that though...
