Intro:

A deck to use De Vermis Mysteriis and Archaic Glyphs, with lots of Spell- and Insight- Events, as well as some Doom control.

See the Side Deck for the upgraded cards, to add to the deck (in rough order).

The idea:

To pump-up Archaic Glyphs when clue-ing with its investigate action, as well as using De Vermis Mysteriis with Drawn to the Flame and Read the Signs for some extra clue-y goodness.

Hopefully, you can get somewhat wealthy with David Renfield and Sacrifice, then spend your (unearthly) gains with Grounded or Grounded (LVL3); Crack the Case is there to help keep things going. Arcane Insight is there to reduce the shroud value of locations for an extra clue, hopefully, each time you investigate, and Spirit Athame and Occult Theory are there for similar boosting reasons.

Uncage the Soul is there for when you run out of charges.

Note that the bonded cards of the Occult objects Hallowed Mirror and Occult Lexicon work with De Vermis Mysteriis, as well as does the more obvious String of Curses, Ward of Protection etc. - the deck is more Event heavy in the beginning.

There are a few Tomes for the Research Librarian to help find, especially when you want to translate the glyphs in the beginning.

Preposterous Sketches was taken to give some okay draw when combined with Blood-Rite, so hopefully finding things should be less of a problem later on.

Upgrades (in rough order):

Upgrade Archaic Glyphs to Archaic Glyphs.

Lose Rite of Seeking cards for Arcane Insight and De Vermis Mysteriis.

1x Spirit Athame for Occult Lexicon, to free up a hand.

Sacrifice and 1x Spirit Athame instead of the two String of Curses cards.

2x Grounded and eventually 2x Grounded to replace Arcane Studies.

2x Uncage the Soul for 2x Drawn to the Flame.

Occult Theory cards can replace Unexpected Courage cards.

Charisma should help deal with Baron Samedi, but he's really not so bad.

Moonlight Ritual and Ward of Protection are places to put your extra Spell XP, from Arcane Research, towards the middle and end of the campaign.

And for New Game+++...

Why not be a crazy person and add the Blood Eclipse cards and an upgraded Hallowed Mirror, just for fun and danger. You're probably gonna die, right, but who cares?
