Play Notes
This more of an ultimate build for multiplayer. To cut down on experience, nix Key of Ys and Charisma (down to 21xp needed) and use Holy Rosary (Better than St. Hubert's Key I think, cheaper and horror soak). Go further by dropping Arcane Insight and Blood Pact (down to 14xp needed). Using 2x Arcane Research is also a fairly safe bet.
This build relies on having you support someone else to pick up clues. So no Rite of Seeking or Drawn to the Flame. Adjust as needed.
At this point you really don't need Delve Too Deep, but it's an absolute must early on.
Blood Pact is really nice coupled with Moonlight Ritual and during agenda advance.
I find Spirit Athame to not be as useful as one would expect, but feel free to add it in.
If you're worried about horror building up, use Fearless instead of Clarity of Mind. Seems to work better in my experience and works like Guts.
Fine Clothes can help deal with potential asset-destroying cards like Passage into the Veil or Crypt Chill and provide some cheap damage soak, but Trench Coat might be better. Though who knows, you may need to parlay something with her abysmal ...

- Abuses Grotesque Statue and Alchemical Transmutation with unique Spirit-Speaker
- David Renfield with Sacrifice to gain extra resources quickly
- Key of Ys build with extra allies to soak unwanted sanity damage

Critical Cards
The two most important cards for this build are Alchemical Transmutation and Spirit-Speaker. Really need these cards ASAP for this build to work effectively. Uncage the Soul helps but can be swapped for other cards. You need lots of resources to swap out/regenerate spells reliably. After about 12 resources you can safely burn Alchemical Transmutation.
Next is Grotesque Statue. Coupled with Spirit-Speaker, you effectively have infinite uses... which is wonderfully broken. Have one in both hands for extra fun!

Getting spells
Arcane Initiate really helps with getting spell cards. You only need one of each spell because you can easily swap spells out with Spirit-Speaker. However, this requires you to seriously churn the deck. The exception here is Alchemical Transmutation which has two copies since you need to increase your chances of finding it quickly.
Suggestion makes Akachi Onyele practically untouchable.
Arcane Insight is essentially Flashlight on steroids and a must for multiplayer. Not the best card for a seeker, but makes an amazing support card for other players since the ability is fast.

David Renfield trick
To get the most out of David Renfield, play him early in an agenda with large doom threshold. Activate him every turn to get resources then Sacrifice him to get more and remove the accumulated doom. Far better than Emergency Cache. Also place doom on him just before the agenda is about to advance as doom placed this way won't cause it advance prematurely and clears the doom on him, setting him up for additional uses before Sacrifice.

Key of Ys build
An amazing card and any character can use this generic build, but I find mystics are best. Need Charisma for extra allies to soak horror.
(Mystics only) Keep a Quantum Flux to help mitigate the deck loss if its ability pops. Another note for mystics, Moonlight Ritual, Alchemical Transmutation, and Astral Travel are useful for dealing with unwanted doom (i.e. kill them off).
I find that you should only intentionally go up to two horror on this card. Plus two to all skills is plenty.
